The purpose of our grant project, Food and Community: the Collective Human Experience, later renamed Food in the Public Square, was to generate humanities-based dialogues about human and cultural values related to food. Specifically, we wanted to increase the participation of ethnically underrepresented populations in community discussions about their relationship to food and food production in the Lehigh Valley.
